The Indie Song was broadcasted in Capitán Demo, a RTVE’s Radio 3 program about novel bands and demo EPs. This is a historic moment for us, since it has been the first time our fans could listen to us in a nationwide radio show.   If you want to listen to it just click on the image bellow.

Through internet we already had this kind of broadcast. It was thanks to our friends of Radio Solobasket during Bilbao Basket’s game in Treviso when they played First Sight, Your Soul Says Goodbye and Aching Bones. Click in the next image to listen.

After a while without updates, we come back to tell you all the lastest news of the band.
As you all might know already, the past December 19th we were one of the finalists of Bilbao´s new bands contest. We enjoyed ourselves and the second place was for us behind Autoestereo. To tell the truth they played very well and we also want to congratulate them because they deserved it.

We were also invited by Musikazale to be interviewed in their website, we were very happy because they focus on us and you can read the interview here. (You can find it here in spanish).

Finally, reading Mondo Sonoro magazine´s January issue, we found that we were selected as the seventh best demo of the 2009 year in the Basque Country. A honor we didn´t expect that encourage us to follow the rehearsals as hard as we can. You can see it here

For all those who are asking when our next gig will be, it´s quite nothing as it seems, just because we are working hard creating new songs and giving a new point of view to the ones you know already. We will try to be ready as soon as we can to be on the road again with more and better performances.

We have appeared this month of October in MondoSonoro! Not only we have entered the Top10 in the “Demoscopika” section (at the number 10, in fact hehe) that Departure also had a review. If you want to have a read, just click here.

We also have confirmed another show at the BasauriOn demo contest in the Pop/Rock section! We´ll perform with Those Radios and Touche, on Friday 20th of November at the Basauri´s Basozelai Kultur Etxea. I´ll be tough but being there is very nice!

Yesterday was a very special day for us, one of those that makes you understand all the work behind a band. We owe all to people like Fernando Gómez and Susana Amigo, that from the management of Bilboloop bring now-a-days and quality music to Bilbao, and give us the chance to make part of it at Off-Bilboloop activities.

One of the details we like it most is the human quality among management people and we think that it´s the reason of being such a great festival for 8 years. From the very first moments, we felt like home with Cristina at Serie B that opened her store for us to make the show. The gig, apart from timing problems, it was very funny and we enjoy it a lot playing among lots of clothes. We also want to send a cheers to our friend that ended Baba O´Riley up so fast

Such an experiencie not to forget. But lucky for us, we had lunch with Fernando and all of his people at Ambigú, at the festival and at the final party. There were the members of the band Milke and Minitel Rose that we met. Such a nice guys!

A day to remember in the MTG calendar and that we feel very proud not only for being part also for meeting people like Fernando and Susana that shows that music is so much more than just an art. Thank you very much again to Fernando, Susana, Cristina, all the biboloopers and Alaitz because without her anything of this would happened.

We also would like to announce the next two shows for November. The first one is the 6th of November at 21:00 in Rekalde´s Gazteleko as part of the Bilbao.Gaua demo contest. The next one is the 26th of November at 21:00 at  Bilbao RockStar, a Movistar show that we share with the catalonian band RuidoBlanco. We are very excited about this shows as they are part of a new environment for us and we hope to permorf there as it deserves. We hope you like it.

MTG joins the world of social networks. We previously were in MySpace and in Facebook, now we introduce you our own Youtube channel where you can watch all the videos of the last gig vídeos at the FNAC and we soon upload the ones from Kafe Antzokia show.

We also have now our own Twitter channel at http://twitter.com/mtgband where we´ll publish day by day the smallest news and thoughs of MTG world.

Our rehearsal work is currently write new songs, but we also have some new live dates to announce. We´ll play the Serie B store in Casco Viejo (Loteria 2 – Bilbao) at 13:00 of the Saturday 24th of October. This gig will be very special for us because is included in the paralel events of Bilboloop Festival and because we are going to perform inside a store.

Also, we have confirmed a gig at the Zeharbide pub (Iturrigorri 3 – Las Arenas) the 22nd of October just after the Athletic football match.

As Bilbao store´s own September scheduling says, we perform on Tuesday 17th at 19:00.

After making a few mixes of the Kafe Antzokia’s concert on June, we already have available the mp3s in the Multimedia section.

These tracks are the first two songs we played, This Is Gone – First Sight and Common Visions that we particularly liked it.

MTG is still doing things for this summer. After moving from our rehearsal room to Jon Arrospide 11 at Deusto to keep close and give us greater flexibility in scheduling the practices, we are mixing and editing the audio traks of the gig at the Kafe Antzokia. We’re going to upload a couple songs as a little summer gift to everyone who visits our website. We’re going to upload the videos of the concert too for everyone who could not come to Bilbao’s theater.

We remind you that we will be present in the Aste Nagusia in the pub New Rumm at Dr. Areilza on August 19th at 20h00 and we’ve confirmed another concert for September 17 at the FNAC where we have the opportunity to present our new demo.
